With over 30 years experience in both the NHS and private sector, Van has helped more post surgery patients lose weight than anyone else and what's unique about Van's approach is that the weight stays off!

Van studied a 4 year Nutrition and Biology degree at the London Metropolitan University in 1988. She trained and worked as a Registered Dietitian at the London Hospitals until she settled in the West Midlands in 2006. She worked at the Queen Elizabeth and Heartlands Hospital, Birmingham where she was trained in Bariatrics by the famous surgeon, Mr Paul Super. He was the first surgeon to introduce gastric bands to the West Midlands. Van continues to support Mr Super's patients as well as working with leading Bariatric Surgeons both nationally and internationally.

 Eating healthily is about finding a balance and enjoying food. Van follows an ‘80/20 rule’. This means 80% of the time she aims to eat and drink well, and 20% to be more relaxed and not deprive the food she enjoys. When combining this with a regular exercise routine, it allows Van to keep her weight steady and feel good about what she eats. 

Van aims to give practical advice to help you reach your health and weight loss goals.
